About Us

Life Skills Center of Pontiac offers an alternative high school education to students between the ages of 15-19. Class hours and curriculum are designed to be flexible enough to fit each individual's needs. In addition to computer-based learning and highly qualified teachers available for one-on-one attention, Life Skills Center assists students outside of the classroom with job placement and counseling for higher education. The Center offers a variety of services to fit the needs of a variety of students with different backgrounds and lifestyles including students returning to high school, accelerated students, pregnant students, credit recovery, teen mothers, students who are working and going to school, and families with special circumstances.

The use of technology integrated with the Academy’s curriculum allows for individualized programming to suit every student’s individual learning needs.  Technology is incorporated in delivery of instruction, college and career planning and assessment.
